I am starting to settle into the food thing. Still having trouble eating all that is required so I am taking what would have been snacks (mostly proteins) and applying them to my main menu. When I can, I eat everything but after a week of trying to eat it all – my body is saying it is too much. Good news is I am sticking to the menu items.
I did Plyo training last night. The good news for all those starting out like me is that you don’t have to do everything they do. I push as hard as I can and check to make sure I am in my target heart rate zone. The only good thing about being out of shape is that it takes less effort to hit your target heart rate!
Tip: If you didn’t spring for the heart rate monitor just use the on-screen countdown clock, check the pulse in your neck (It will be “Thumpin”) for 6 seconds and multiply by ten. 12 beats = 120 bpm, 16 = 160 bpm etc.
As Tony says “Don’t be doggin’ on me!”
It sounds like you are starting to get into the diet and find the foods you like. That is key to staying on track. Eat the healthy foods that you enjoy. It is ok to eat less than required, Just make sure you eat the right percentage of protein. Your body and tastes will naturally want more carbs and fats.
Check out fitday.com. It is free. You plug in your foods each day and it gives you the percentage. Your tastes can be sneaky.
Keep up the good work.
