It is now 5:30 PM on Saturday and I just finished KenpoX and have tomorrow off. Not another workout due until Monday around 8:00 PM. Six days a week is plenty, since I WILL continue for at least another 77 days.
I made a grocery run earlier today and as I cruised through Super Walmart with my cart filled with pork loin, tons of fruit, V8 low sodium, tomatoes and all sorts of good healthy food it really struck me how much processed food I was eating. I felt just a little swell of pride. And as a byproduct of me doing most of the grocery shopping the whole family is changing their eating habits a little bit.
I came home and prior to working out put two salmon fillets in foil with a bit of salsa and some mushrooms. I’ll bake it up a little later.
Now I need a shower and maybe watch a little Tennis channel.
P.S. I have now taken to drinking all beverages out of “My” Pyrex measuring cup – Is that weird?
Doesn’t it feel good to know what is going into your body?
Before P90X, I didn’t even pay attention to all of the crap that I was putting into my body. Now I know that every meal is fresh and healthy.
Now this is weird coming from the guy who could eat prime ribs, or bbq anything at every meal, but I recommend watching the documentary Food Inc.. You will be shocked to learn that most of the food in America can be traced back to 3-4 major companies. Their main objective isn’t exactly to keep us healthy.
P90X really helped me in taking notice of what I was consuming. It sounds like it is doing that same for you.
If you follow the nutrition plan, it is probably the best take-away from the P90X program.
P90X is basic health class 101. Eat right and exercise daily to be healthy. Just like I learned in grade school.
